ATV & Golf Cart Regulations

June 05, 2020

Recently there have been several complaints of residents operating ATVs, golf carts, and other special vehicles in areas where they are not allowed.

Per Ordinance #177: No person shall operate a motorized golf cart, all-terrain vehicle, or mini-truck on streets, alleys, sidewalks or other public property without obtaining a permit from the City.

Once a permit is obtained, these vehicles are only allowed to operate on City streets in order to exit or enter the City. Permits are $10.00 per vehicle, and owners must bring in a copy of valid insurance.

The coulee area by Southcreek appears to be a popular spot for operating these vehicles, however NO ONE is allowed to operate ANY vehicle in this area other than City Maintenance personnel.

Violators of this ordinance will be issued a citation not to exceed $1,000.00 or imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days.

Thank you,
